Midland airport receives $6M FAA grant

The Midland International Air and Space Port has been awarded a $6 million federal grant to improve the terminal building. The $6,023,406 will fund construction to replace five passenger boarding bridges and the outbound baggage system.

New airport terminal starting to take shape

The Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport should have its sleek new terminal building by the end of 2020. The 91,000 square-foot, $43.8 million, electrochromic, glass-walled structure is being paid for through a combination of bonds and Federal Aviation Administration funds.
