Houston’s IAH Set to Modernize, Expand Terminal with $40M Federal Grant

Houston’s half-a-century old George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is getting a much-needed makeover soon. City officials—and U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttieg—came together this week to celebrate the announcement of a $40 million federal grant to modernize an aging IAH, which first saw flights take-off in 1969.

Contracts OK’d for 26 Concessions at Bush Airport’s New International Terminal

Houston City Council gave the final approval on concessions contracts for the new international terminal under construction at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The two 10-year agreements are expected to create at least 390 jobs across 26 concession locations, according to the Houston Airport System.
