Brunswick airport gets $150K grant

The Brunswick Executive Airport was awarded $150,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement program to fund taxiway repairs. The airport, at 15 Terminal Road at Brunswick Landing, is one of six in the state to receive a grant from the FAA, which awarded just less than $2.6 million to Maine airports.

Palatka airport receives $453K grant for safety improvement

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed Palatka Municipal Airport will receive a grant for a badly-needed safety improvement. The grant, administered by the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program, is worth $453,736 and will be used to re-engineer a taxiway serving Runway 17 at the airport and add new taxiway signs.

USDOT awards grants to improve airport infrastructure

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) has awarded $478m in airport infrastructure grants to upgrade 232 airports in 43 states. Selected airports will use the funds for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of runways, to build firefighting facilities, and for the maintenance of taxiways, aprons, and terminals.

Alabama airport to benefit from FAA grant

Six local airports in Alabama, including the Enterprise Municipal Airport, will receive a total of $14,344,107 in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants. The grants range from $10,426,057 for Huntsville International Airport to $59,290 for Florala Municipal Airport and are awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to support airport infrastructure improvements.

Midland airport receives $6M FAA grant

The Midland International Air and Space Port has been awarded a $6 million federal grant to improve the terminal building. The $6,023,406 will fund construction to replace five passenger boarding bridges and the outbound baggage system.
