FedEx announces $450 million investment in Memphis hub

FedEx is investing an additional $450 million into the FedEx Express World Hub in Memphis, bringing total investment to $1.5 billion. Camdenton Receives Grant for Airport Runway Extension

Camdenton City Administrator Jeff Hancock says they’ve been awarded a grant to finalize a runway extension project at the Camdenton Memorial Lake Regional Airport. The grading and prep work will cost an estimated $4.2 million, while the construction on the extension will cost roughly $1 million. Work will begin sometime next year.

LaPorte airport getting $1M for taxiway rehab

The city of LaPorte will be receiving nearly $1 million in federal grant money for renovations to its municipal airport. The U.S. Department of Transportation announced Thursday it was awarding $478 million in airport infrastructure grants to upgrade 232 airports in 43 states. Grants totaling $12.26 million were parceled out to 15 airports in Indiana.
