University Park Airport awarded $1.8M for equipment

University Park Airport is set to receive $1.83 million through the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program to upgrade the airport’s snow removal equipment. Ninety percent of the FAA grant will cover the replacement of the equipment with the remaining 10 percent being split between funds from the airport’s passenger facility charge and a grant from PennDOT’s Bureau of Aviation.
