The Texas Transportation Committee has approved approximately $795,000 in state funding for the Bay City Regional Airport during its June meeting.
The funds will be used for planned airport improvements, which include lighting improvements and a project bid to be completed this summer.
…This year, TxDOT expects to provide approximately $60 million in funding for planning, constructing and maintaining community airports. Approximately 275 community airports in Texas are eligible for funding.
