New air conditioning units, escalators and boarding bridges are among the improvements planned for Albany International Airport, after the airport authority board approved spending for the projects at its meeting Monday. A new boarding bridge for American Airlines at Gate B9 has been completed, while plans are in the works to replace four more bridges, B5, B7, B8 and C3. The $3.7 million project includes $185,000 each from the state and the airport authority. Federal funding will cover the remaining $3.33 million.
