City Manager Don Saling noted that construction of the city’s new hangar has begun and should be completed within the next few weeks.
The Sterling City Council also approved a grant agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration for funding a master plan study for the airport. Under the agreement, the federal government will contribute $294,686 towards the total expense of $327,429. The city and state of Colorado will split the remaining cost, paying $16,371.50 each.
