The Allegheny County Airport Authority released updated renderings of its terminal modernization program on Tuesday ahead of a groundbreaking on the massive project later this year.
Prep work for construction will begin this spring, a process that will include the construction of site access roads, installation of security gates, deconstruction of portions of the former E Gates, set up of the construction trailer complex, and modification of the airport’s underground fuel line. Major construction activities are expected to start in either the summer or the fall.
