All summer long, the runway at Ottumwa Regional Airport has been undergoing construction. Now, the $6.5 million project appears to be nearing an end.

“We’ll be able to land larger corporate jets; and what’s great about the project is that the FAA paid for about 90% of the project, the other ten is city. So, that part of the project is a real incentive for us to do this,” said Chris Cobler, manager at Ottumwa Regional Airport.
