Construction of the terminal and new roadways will cost $1.3 billion, with passengers and state and federal government footing most of the bill.
The new terminal will feature a soaring roof, 35 gates – the same number as now, but better organized – upgraded concessions and a centralized checkpoint to prevent the bottlenecks that occur today.
