Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport will receive $600,000 in federal funding toward rehabilitating the airport’s primary runway, replacing pavement.
The U.S. Dept. of Transportation will also distribute $15.5 million in federal block grants for small and rural airports across Wisconsin.
That’s part of $520.5 million in total federal funding to be given to 287 airports across the country for improvements.
