Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport plans to spend $37.4 million to expand the domestic terminal south checkpoint to help alleviate long lines for security screening. The project will be funded by with short-term debt financing, and bonds or other sources over the long term.
The project will add five automated “smart lanes” near Delta Air Lines check-in and is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
