Charlotte Douglas International Airport will soon break ground on a $600 million expansion and renovation of its terminal lobby.
The lobby will extend over the old curbside dropoff and pickup road into the new road.
The project is expected to last more than five years because the airport has to complete construction while remaining open for passengers.
