Construction for new facility at Gainesville Regional Airport underway, could bring 80 new jobs

Construction is underway for a $9,000,000 investment at the Gainesville Airport Industrial Park. The 42,000 square-foot Fed Ex distribution facility could create more than 80 jobs and is expected to be open for business this summer.

Florida airport Breaks Ground For Terminal Expansion

The Gainesville Regional Airport is beginning its nearly $16 million expansion project. Gainesville Alachua County Regional Airport Authority board members on Thursday hosted a groundbreaking ceremony, one that marks the beginning of construction on the airport’s terminal expansion and renovation plan.
