Five airports across Arizona, including Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, have received $43.3 in grants from the federal government to upgrade and add infrastructure to their facilities.
Sky Harbor, the region’s primary airport, received two grants totaling $21,917,300. The first grant for $21.34 million is to reconstruction the airport’s apron, the area where planes park, load and unload passengers and cargo, and refuel.
